You can find kratom strains with different names outside of the following varieties; however, when the types are broken down further, it often refers to where the leaves were sourced from. Here are the different kinds of kratom strains:
White Vein Kratom
This kratom strain carries an acquired taste compared to other strains. It is known for its intensity that makes it more difficult for beginners to appreciate; however, it can be rewarding for people interested in and have tried other kratoms.
White vein kratoms may be harvested while the tree’s leaves are still young and the veins are white. The harvested leaves are dried entirely indoors without any light on them. This strain type is believed to be the most potent of all the major kratom strains. Thus, it is not recommended for those who are new to kratom. White vein kratom has a mild stimulant effect. When taken in lower quantities, it is can boost energy levels and alertness.
Red Vein Kratom
This strain type is best used for its supposed sedative effect. Also, it may be used for pain relief or to give the user a euphoric feeling. Red kratom leaves are processed with the use of much sunlight or a UV lamp during the drying process. It may also be fermented during its processing to create a slightly different variation on the standard red kratom called bentuangie kratom. Compared to other types of kratom, red kratom is the mellowest and not generally classified as a stimulant. Because of its mild sedative effect, it can help users remain calm.
Green Vein Kratom
This kratom strain provides similar stimulant effects to those of white kratom. Typically, it is harvested when the kratom plant has been provided with more time to mature; hence, the darker coloring. Green kratom leaves are dried indoors at first, usually in an air-conditioned room, and moved outside to finish the drying process. It features a more subtle effect than its white vein counterpart; however, it is still considered as a stimulant.
